These wilderness camping trips are for the trekking enthusiast who is very keen on going off the beaten track. In the case of the Kamweti and Marania routes there are no obvious trails, and quite often the terrain can be quite challenging, including sections of waist-high tussock grass where you literally have to wade through! You need serious waterproof kit and definitely gaiters as it can be very wet, muddy and boggy. But the scenery is spectacular and you will not meet another soul.
